$1 BILLION A HOUR

That's how much the Barack Obama administration has spent thus far. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell did the math .. "In just 50 days, Congress has voted to spend about $1.2 trillion between the Stimulus and the Omnibus ... To put that in perspective, that's about $24 billion a day, or about $1 billion an hour."

Employee Free Choice Act

The Employee Free Choice Act, or "Card Check," would eliminate the right to vote by private ballot when deciding whether to join a union, and it would undermine the right to freely negotiate contracts.

We can't tolerate this. We must stand for freedom, not fear in the workplace.

We cannot afford to be intimidated.

This is about protecting our fundamental right to vote privately without coercion.

It's about protecting the right of employers and employees to negotiate freely.

It's about allowing businessmen and women, not bureaucrats and union bosses, to run our businesses.
And in the end, it's about saving and protecting American jobs.

It's now clear that President Obama, Big Labor, and their left-wing allies in Congress, will attempt an unprecedented power grab that is a mortal threat to our economy and our democratic values.

Let’s expose and stop this effort.

Taxing The Achievers

Barack Obama is well on his way to taxing the dog squeeze out of the achievers, the business owners, the wealthy - the people who create the jobs in this country. Starting in 2011, over the next 10 years, Obama is proposing almost $1 trillion in tax increases. And you wealth-envy types can rest your pretty little heads .. he is going to increase taxes on those evil rich people you so love to hate. Here the breakdown:

1) On households making more than $250,000:

  • $338 billion from turning back the Bush tax cuts.
  • $179 billion by reducing the limits on itemized deductions
  • $118 billion by increasing capital gains taxes

Total: $636 billion/10 years

2) On evil businesses:

  • $17 billion comes from bringing back the Superfund taxes
  • $24 billion from treating tax carried-interest as income
  • $5 billion by codifying "economic substance doctrine"
  • $61 billion from repeal of the LIFO accounting practice
  • $210 billion from international enforcement, reform deferral, other tax reform
  • $4 billion - information reporting for rental payments
  • $5.3 billion from excise tax increases on Gulf of Mexico oil and gas
  • $3.4 billion from repealing the expensing of tangible drilling costs
  • $62 million from repealing the deductions for tertiary injectants
  • $49 million from repealing passive loss exceptions for working interests in oil and natural gas properties
  • 13 billion by repealing manufacturing tax deductions for oil and natural gas companies
  • $1 billion by increasing to 7 years geological and geophysical amortization period for independent producers
  • $882 million through eliminating advanced earned income tax credit

Total: $353 billion/10 years

There are people who actually believe that Obama is going to succeed in his quest to return economic prosperity to our country through taxation. There are also people who believe that wet streets cause rain. These people are commonly called "idiots."

How Nationalization Found a Way Into My Life

With huge influxes of taxpayer dollars flowing into some of the nation's biggest companies, the invisible hand of government suddenly has its fingerprints all over my life. Here are some examples:

Banking (using TRAP funds, government has some sort of stake in most Banks in US)

  • Citigroup Inc (government taking 40% stake)
  • J.P. Morgan Chase & Co
  • GMAC LLC
  • American Express Co

Mortgage

  • Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (government has taken over these two)

Insurance

  • American International Group Inc.,

Automotive

  • General Motors Corp
  • Chrysler LLC

Rail

  • Amtrak

But the new ethos is an adjustment for someone who grew up in an era characterized first by the forceful antigovernment rhetoric of Ronald Reagan, then by a Democratic president declaring, "The era of big government is over." I can only hope it eventually leads to a Euro-style world when I get all of August off work, and three-hour lunch breaks are the norm!

40 years of wish list - $825 billion stimulus bill

When it comes to Washington cronies, every crisis an opportunity spent more money. This $825 billion stimulus plan seems more like 40 years of wish list. Just look how they plan to stimulate our economy!

There's $1 billion for Amtrak, the federal railroad that hasn't turned a profit in 40 years; $2 billion for child-care subsidies; $50 million for National Endowment for the Arts; $400 million for global-warming research and another $2.4 billion for carbon-capture demonstration projects.

ACORN pay-off, that’s right there is $4.19 billion for "neighborhood stabilization activities." Another word – thanks for registering Mickey Mouse to vote!

There's even $650 million on top of the billions already doled out to pay for digital TV conversion coupons.

$252 billion is for income-transfer payments. That’s right cash or benefits to individuals for doing nothing at all.

$81 billion for Medicaid

$36 billion for expanded unemployment benefits

$20 billion for food stamps

$83 billion for the earned income credit for people who don't pay income tax.

$54 billion will go to federal programs that the Office of Management and Budget or the Government Accountability Office

$66 billion for educations (Some $6 billion of this will subsidize university building projects). Don’t worry it won’t be used for education. Page 257 this massive bill says "No recipient . . . shall use such funds to provide financial assistance to students to attend private elementary or secondary schools."

Only thing in this bill that could possibly stimulate our economy is the roughly $20 billion for business tax cuts, and about $90 billion for public works. That is about 12 cents of every $1

Bailouts Will Push US into Depression

The end result of the global economic slowdown may be the U.S. announcing national bankruptcy as the government cannot afford the bailouts that it promised and the market will not bail out the government.

We can expect a depression in the United States if congress goes through with the estimated trillion dollar Obama bailout. US already have committed $14 trillion in guarantees. These debt figures across the U.S. economy are rising very sharply. When the government can no longer pass the United States' "immense debt" on to taxpayers, it will turn to the holders of U.S. dollars, leading to the eventual downfall of the currency.

Total Bailout Costs approaching $14 trillion

The total potential cost of the financial bailout to the U.S. taxpayer is already rapidly approaching $14 trillion, over fifteen times as much as the meaningless $700 billion bailout bill figure.
